May classes reminder

Greetings folks,

Here's an update for upcoming events. There's an intuitive field trip this weekend around Helena and there's still room to join!  Here's a teaser from that Field Trip, an exercise in awarenes:

#2 – Doorways

As we prepare for our field trip on Saturday, you can begin to pay more attention to transitions you experience.
When you go through a physical door into another space, you perceive changes in several different senses. What you see, hear, smell and feel may all be recognizably different. As you encounter these changing sensations you are more in the present, at least for a few moments.

There are many kinds of doors besides the physical ones separating rooms. People you meet, new ideas, an opening in a landscape you pass through, a change in the weather, shifting states of consciousness, memories, even physical changes in the body are all doorways. You may not even realize you are going through a door until you sense something has shifted.

When you do recognize you are about to go through a door, pause for a moment and use that opportunity to heighten your awareness. Before entering, take a moment and do the body focus practice above. Do you feel a sensation in your body? Are you hearing sounds? What is the emotion you’re feeling?

Then, being more in touch with what you are perceiving, you can go through the door and be more conscious of the changes you experience. The changes you first recognize may be external perceptions, such as colors, smells, shifts in temperature or sounds. Having paused before entering, you will be more able to notices these changes. Yet, as you become more attentive you will begin to notice more subtle changes. You may sense a different ambiance in the new space, your thinking may take on a different quality, or you may even sense an internal shift in your own energy. Your mind may have clear, rational explanations for these changes. That’s fine. And, you can still pay attention to them first. There may be more to what you experience than what you “know” is happening.

Also, I will be offering a free introductory lecture on communication in Missoula soon, followed by a six week evening class. I hope to see you soon!

Warm regards,

Patrick

Intuitive Field Trip – Saturday, May 7th – 2016

Sites around Helena. We'll be visiting two sites around Helena for this first trip of the 2017 season. First, a prehistoric stone circle on the top of MacDonald pass and secondly, Helgate Canyon by Canyon Ferry Lake.

Cost: $50 for the day.

We'll be meeting around 9:00 am at MacDonald pass. (Depending on participants schedules, this time can be a bit flexible. Some people will be traveling from Missoula.) We'll expect to be finished around 5:00 pm. This is also not an exact time, so allow for some flexibility if you can.

Bring along shoes for short hiking and all weather gear – this is Montana! And bring a lunch, snacks and water to take care of your personal needs.

Patrick will also supply some advanced thoughts and exercises to get your intentions clear and moving before the Field Trip and the day of the event traveling to the site.

Call me soon, if you're interested in joining this Field Trip: 406-443-3439
